VISAS TO THE UK

 

·       For information on visas to the UK, please refer to: www.bia.homeoffice.gov.uk  

 

The British Consulate in New York issues visas to the UK via an online application form. Once you apply online, you will be notified of an appointment time at the Department of Immigration in Bermuda for you to submit your biometric data. 

 

TRAVEL ADVICE

PASSPORTS

 

·       British Overseas Territory Citizen (BOTC) passports and Emergency passports are issued by the Department of Immigration, Bermuda.

 

·       British Citizen passports are issued by the British Embassy in Washington. More details at http://ukinusa.fco.gov.uk/en

 

BRITISH CITIZENSHIP

 

·       To register or naturalise as a British Citizen, please complete the necessary forms at the Department of Immigration, Bermuda. Further details can be found on: www.ukba.gov.uk

 

Governor's Biography  

Sir Richard Gozney was a British diplomat for 34 years, specializing in Indonesia, the Spanish speaking world, Africa and NATO issues, working for some twenty years abroad at British Embassies and High Commissions.  For ten of those twenty years he was an Ambassador or High Commissioner.  He is married to Diana and has two sons, James and Alexander, studying at university and school in the UK and who joined their parents in Bermuda for the first time for the Christmas & New Year holidays in December 2007.  Sir Richard is a bird watcher and occasional dinghy sailor.  Lady Gozney is a keen golfer and tennis player.  When in the UK they live in North Norfolk and London.
